Returns & Refunds Policy

Most items are made-to-order (print on demand) just for you. Because of this, we only accept returns for items that are defective or damaged in transit.

Return Window

  • Requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery.

Eligible Returns

  • Defective or damaged items only.

  • We’ll repair, replace, or refund at our discretion once the issue is verified.

Not Eligible

  • Wrong size, color, or change of mind

  • Normal wear and tear or damage from improper care

  • Any non-defective print-on-demand item

How to Start a Return

Email hello@theemilyjoyproject.com within 14 days of delivery with:

  1. Order number

  2. Full name & email used at checkout

  3. Item name/variant

  4. Description of the defect

  5. Clear photos/video showing the issue and the shipping box (if damaged in transit)

We’ll reply with next steps and, if approved, a prepaid label or instructions. Please do not send anything back without authorization.

Refunds/Exchanges

  • If approved, we’ll replace the item or refund to your original payment method.

  • Refunds typically post within 5–10 business days after processing.

  • Exchanges are limited to the same item (identical design) if available.

Shipping Costs

  • For approved defective/damaged claims, return shipping is covered by us.

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours.

Damaged or Lost in Transit

  • Report visible carrier damage within 48 hours of delivery with photos.

  • If a package is marked delivered but missing, contact us and your carrier; we’ll help investigate.

Address Errors

  • Orders shipped to an incorrect address provided at checkout aren’t eligible for refunds. Please double-check your details before placing an order.
